What a week! First off it was my birthday week which always means lots of over indulging and going out to dinner. Second it was one of my best friends bachelorette parties! Both so much fun and so draining. I am literally pooped. 

Monday I started the week off with an amazing 5 miler. I was feeling super good throughout the whole thing and was excited that my legs were not still and tight from my first 10 miler. I also got to see a little bit of the solar eclipse which was freaking amazing! Monday night I met some friends for dinner to celebrate my birthday the best way I know how, with food and wine!

Tuesday was my birthday and a recovery run day! My legs wanted to move really fast and it was super hard for me to slow them down. Probably because they were on their birthday high!

Wednesday I had to push my progression run back till after work. I don’t love doing this but some days there really isn’t another option. Because it was to hot to run outside after work I headed to the gym and did it on the treadmill. It went super well and I was so excited to nail it!

Thursday I took a rest day because I had to switch up my long run for the week.

Friday I got up at 4am and headed out for my 12 miler. I kept the pace super easy because I didn’t want to burn myself out. It felt so good and I wasn’t really tired at all. After my run I met up with my friends and we headed to Palm Springs for the bachelorette weekend! Side note: I am not sure if any of you have used Air B&B before but we had them cancel on us literally 4 hours before we were supposed to check in. It was honestly so ridiculous and I cannot believe that happened. It has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Saturday I had one last run to get in for the week. I managed an easy treadmill 4 miler in the hotel! Honestly that was probably the longest 4 miles of my life.

Sunday was rest day and thank god because I was dead. Adult hangovers are a struggle. I am still feeling it today and it’s Monday.
